Just the other day I celebrated my thirty-something birthday. Curious? You probably are and I love it. But don’t get me wrong, I have no problem disclosing that I am so close to the mid- Three Os. See, this is not the point for this blog. I had been battling with making a decision that will change the course of my life forever. Shortly before the d-day, I got so excited that I was finally at peace with it. I had done all the negotiations with God, pondered on all the worst case scenarios, but something within me gave me hope. That hope that gives me the extra confidence, not in the future but in the God that has seen me journey through life to reach where I am now.
May 2019, will always feature in recounts of my journey of a purpose-filled life. For its, the month in which these words, I once read in a book made a whole lot of sense.
If there were ever a time to dare,
To make a difference,
To embark on something worth doing,
It is now.
Not for any grand cause, necessarily—
But for something that tugs at your heart,
Something that’s your aspiration,
Something that’s your dream.
You owe it to yourself to make your days here count.
Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy.
There will be good days.
And there will be bad days.
There will be times when you want to turn around,
Pack it up, and call it quits.
Those times tell you that you are pushing yourself,
That you are not afraid to learn by trying.
It’s an exciting journey ahead. Because I found that thing that tugs at my heart and decided I was done chasing after the wind!
Let me ask you; What problem where you created to solve?
No pressure if you are still on the journey to discover it. But don’t waste time trying to make excuses for not fulfilling your purpose. God has designed you perfectly for that!
